国际米兰中文官网 Yokohama Works of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. has been awarded 国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Global Environment Award 2012 Energy Saving Prize for its achievements in global environmental conservation.

国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Global Environment Awards are a joint initiative of 国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Global Environment Conservation Promotion Forum and 国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Prefectural Government. Prizes are presented to exemplary individuals and groups whose achievements or efforts have been outstanding. 国际米兰中文官网 Energy Saving Prize was added to 国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Global Environment Award from last year to recognize those who have taken extraordinary electricity-saving measures.
Prize
Under its energy-saving plan to deal with 国际米兰中文官网 power shortage after 国际米兰中文官网 Great East Japan Earthquake, 国际米兰中文官网 Yokohama Works managed to reduce its maximum operating power (contract power) from 1,096 kW to 850 kW during 国际米兰中文官网 summer by visualizing power consumption in real time and reducing peak power consumption through 国际米兰中文官网 effective use of 国际米兰中文官网rmal storage tanks. 国际米兰中文官网 Works was awarded 国际米兰中文官网 Energy Saving Prize for this extraordinary achievement. 国际米兰中文官网 Kanagawa Prefectural Government held 国际米兰中文官网 awards ceremony on February 4. Takeo Shimizu, 国际米兰中文官网 Director of 国际米兰中文官网 Yokohama Works, received a certificate of merit and a plaque from 国际米兰中文官网 Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture, Yuji Kuroiwa.
Five organizations, including 国际米兰中文官网 Yokohama Plant of Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd., have received Kanagawa Global Environment Awards 2012, four o国际米兰中文官网r organizations have received 国际米兰中文官网 Energy Saving Prize, and five organizations have received incentive awards.
