ac米兰中文官方网站 Co., Ltd. (Head office: 2-6-4 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideya Moridaira) has purchased Feed-in Tariff （FIT） Non-fossil Certificates with tracking(note 1)for the electric power consumed in FY2023 during ac米兰中文官方网站 and has shifted to electric power generated from substantially renewable energy. As a result, we expect to reduce CO2emissions (Scope 2,(note 2)) by 22,000 tons per year.
In 2021, we set forth the ac米兰中文官方网站 Environmental Vision 2050 and are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the value chain. With the current actions taken to use electric power derived from substantially renewable energy, the optical fiber and cable products manufactured at the factory will have extremely low environmental load in the manufacturing process. Going forward, we will accelerate the initiatives for realizing carbon neutrality and contribute to reducing CO2emissions throughout the value chain.
(note 1)Along with being able to claim the use of substantially renewable energy, the certificates can also be used for RE100 reports. An agreement was concluded for FY2023 (April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024), and it is planned to renew the agreement thereafter on an ongoing basis.
