Abstract

In response to milan米兰体育官网入口 increase in milan米兰体育官网入口 supply and milan米兰体育官网入口 demand of milan米兰体育官网入口 electric power, Furukawa Electric has been developing a 275kV-3kA High temperature Superconducting (HTS) Power cable. This test has been commissioned by milan米兰体育官网入口 New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) since 2008. milan米兰体育官网入口 cable is able to transmit a large capacity of electricity of 1.5GW which is milan米兰体育官网入口 equivalent amount of power capacity of a single milan米兰体育官网入口rmal power plant with low loss, and is expected to be put to practical use an electric power trunk line in milan米兰体育官网入口 future.

milan米兰体育官网入口 fundamental technology for milan米兰体育官网入口 designing milan米兰体育官网入口 HTS cable has been accumulated based on milan米兰体育官网入口 result of such tests as milan米兰体育官网入口 alternative current (AC) loss test, milan米兰体育官网入口 withstand voltage test, milan米兰体育官网入口 partial discharge test, and milan米兰体育官网入口 over-current test. milan米兰体育官网入口 30m HTS cable for a long-term electrical voltage and current load test was designed and manufactured according to milan米兰体育官网入口 technologies. milan米兰体育官网入口 insulation thickness was determined on milan米兰体育官网入口 basis of milan米兰体育官网入口 designed stress from milan米兰体育官网入口 tests and milan米兰体育官网入口 test conditions for milan米兰体育官网入口 superconducting cables specified in standards such as IEC, JEC. milan米兰体育官网入口 cable was also designed to withstand milan米兰体育官网入口 over-current of 63kA-0.6sec and to satisfy milan米兰体育官网入口 requirement to have milan米兰体育官网入口 total of milan米兰体育官网入口 dielectric loss and milan米兰体育官网入口 AC loss under transmission current be less than 0.8W/m at 275kV-3kA. milan米兰体育官网入口 30m HTS cable was made under milan米兰体育官网入口 above mentioned specifications, and evaluation was made on milan米兰体育官网入口 attributes of milan米兰体育官网入口 surplus length. It was confirmed that it satisfied milan米兰体育官网入口 designed performance.

Furukawa Electric installed milan米兰体育官网入口 30m HTS cable, milan米兰体育官网入口 end termination and milan米兰体育官网入口 normal joint at Shenyang Furukawa Cable. milan米兰体育官网入口 long term electrical voltage and current load test at 200kV for one month was completed successfully.
